Something to Consider!
Three important factors in finding a career: Future/Atmosphere/Salary.

Future
Where will you be five years from now?

Atmosphere
Can you blend in well with the people around you?

Salary
Salary is last. If the first two are there, salary will come.

Don't take a job just for salary because if you work for "Oscar the Grump," it's never enough money.

Interviewing Tips for Applicants:

Make Eye Contact
Making eye contact with someone shows that you are interested in what they have to say.

Get There on Time
Arrive to an interview 5 - 10 minutes early. Take a "test drive" before you interview, so you are prepared and know where you are going.

First Impressions Are Very Important
When we remember someone, normally we revert back to the 1st impression. Present a professional appearance. Dress conservatively in simple, yet professional clothing.

Manners
It is not just the interviewer who is evaluating you - anyone you encounter from the moment you enter the building could have a say in hiring you. Be courteous and professional to everyone you meet.

Follow Directions
If you are given an application or any paperwork to fill out, read it over and follow directions.
Make sure you are giving the employer the information they are asking you for.

Be Negotiable on Salary
Write negotiable in the desired salary section. There are a lot of details that affect your pay. Your salary is one, but the benefits, location, and any other "perks" play a big part in your pay.

Be Positive
Do not make derogatory remarks about previous or present employers. You never want to bring up negative issues. You want the interview to stay positive! Stick to business. Leave personal problems at the door.

Exit / Follow Up
Sincerely thank the employer for his/her time. If you really want the job, don't hesitate to ask for it. Always follow-up with a thank you note reiterating your interest in the position. If you interview with multiple people send each one a thank you note.
